On May 25th, BaoJun YEP, the first all-electric SUV from Wuling, was officially launched. The new vehicle is available in two models.
The overall design of the BaoJun YEP is compact and rugged, bearing a striking resemblance to the Suzuki Jimny's style. The front features a square shape with a blacked-out grille and four matrix-style LED light strips on each side. The rugged bumper design gives the front end a robust and off-road-ready appearance.

The side profile adopts a single-door design, emphasizing its small and agile nature. The roof is equipped with a luggage rack, while the wheel arches sport a Jeep-inspired flare design, complemented by four-spoke wheels, exuding a strong off-road vibe. The dimensions of the vehicle are 3381/1685/1721mm, with a wheelbase of 2110mm.

The rear of the vehicle also follows a square design, with rectangular taillights on each side and a protruding element in the middle. An optional "Car-watch" display screen is available, allowing users to showcase their creative ideas through text, images, videos, and more. The rear bumper echoes the ruggedness of the front, adding to its off-road appeal.

Inside, the cabin offers two color options, "Midnight Black" and "Pure White," and features a three-spoke steering wheel. The center console adopts a dual-screen design, adding a sense of depth to the interior.

In terms of power, the new vehicle adopts a rear-wheel-drive layout with a single electric motor. The motor delivers a maximum power of 50 kW and a peak torque of 140 N·m, paired with a single-speed transmission. The top speed reaches 100 km/h. It is equipped with a 28.1 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery, supporting fast charging and low-temperature heating, providing a range of up to 303 km.
For the chassis, the BaoJun YEP utilizes a rear-wheel-drive layout. The front suspension is a MacPherson strut independent suspension, while the rear features a solid axle non-independent suspension. Ventilated disc brakes are used for both the front and rear, accompanied by an electronic parking brake.
