At the Chengdu Auto Show, the Roewe brand unveiled its all-new mid-to-large sedan - Roewe D7 EV and Roewe D7 DMH, set to hit the market within the fourth quarter. As the opening act of the "D family", the Roewe D7 adopts a brand-new tech-elegant aesthetic, a "Yun Su" cockpit, and the Zebra Intelligent Driving System, among other features.

Exterior: The new car's front adopts a novel brand electric-focused design language, distinct from existing Roewe series designs, offering a stronger recognizability. Specifically, the Roewe D7 EV and DMH feature different styles: The D7 EV has a closed front face with split headlights, while the D7 DMH adopts integrated headlights, with a front grille showcasing expansive lateral design elements that give the vehicle a broader visual appeal.

Side Profile: This model is equipped with concealed door handles and 18-inch aerodynamically efficient rims, providing an overall tech-savvy look. At the rear, the design is round, thick, full, and dynamic. The slim taillights, along with a slightly upturned ducktail design on the trunk edge, exude sportiness. In terms of dimensions, the length, width, and height are respectively 4890/1872/1510mm with a wheelbase of 2810mm.

Interior: The car adopts the "Yun Su" cockpit design concept, with straight center console lines paired with a two-tone design, greatly enhancing the vehicle's modern appeal. Moreover, the large-sized LCD instrument panel and embedded central control screen meet contemporary usage demands. Notably, the vehicle's seats feature a diamond pattern, adding a touch of luxury.

Power: The Roewe D7 offers two power versions. The pure electric version is built on SAIC's exclusive Star Cloud pure electric platform, offering two new cube batteries, corresponding to CLTC comprehensive cruising ranges of 510km and 610km respectively. In terms of power, the vehicle employs a VGA six-in-one motor, with a maximum power output of 155kW from its permanent magnet synchronous motor. The DMH hybrid version features an engine with a thermal efficiency exceeding 43% and a feed power fuel consumption of 4.3L/100km. Under the CLTC condition, its pure electric range is 125km, with a comprehensive range of 1400km.
ML-Vehicle Review:
The SAIC Roewe D7 adopts a completely new design language, appearing younger and more tech-savvy compared to other Roewe models. The vehicle offers both plug-in hybrid and pure electric configurations. The pure electric version better suits the daily commuting needs within the city, while the plug-in hybrid version is more fitting for potential owners concerned about range or those who have long-distance travel and holiday outing requirements.
