During the 2023 Chengdu Auto Show, the new AITO M7 was officially unveiled. With this revision, the car has added a five-seater version and the HUAWEI ADS 2.0 smart driving system, among other upgrades. Both its body structure and interior have been optimized. The car has already started pre-sales with a pre-sale price of 258,000 yuan and will officially go on sale within September.
In terms of exterior design, there haven't been many changes. The smart driving version will feature a lidar on the roof, which is a distinctive feature. Officially, the car body has been re-molded, with an upgraded body structure. The welding production line has been restructured, and it now uses new high-strength steel along with composite body materials.
In terms of configuration, a five-seater version has been added to this update. It's worth noting that the seats in the first and second rows of the five-seater version have been newly developed, significantly improving comfort. For the five-seater version, its internal space utilization rate reaches 92.4%. Official data shows a rear trunk longitudinal depth of 1100mm with a storage volume of 670L. When the rear seats are folded, the trunk depth extends to 2024mm, expanding the volume to 1714L. Additionally, there's a hidden storage compartment of 47.5L in the trunk.
Building on the addition of the five-seater model, this AITO M7 will also introduce a smart driving version equipped with the HUAWEI ADS 2.0 advanced driving assistance system, possessing BEV+GOD recognition capability. In other aspects, the car's suspension has been optimized, the acceleration pedal has been refined to a floorboard style, the braking system has been enhanced, and it is adapted for advanced ADS and RAP features.
The new car will still be equipped with a 1.5T range extender hybrid system and will be available in both two-wheel-drive and four-wheel-drive versions. Referring to the current model's specifications, the two-wheel-drive version has a maximum power of 200kW, while the four-wheel-drive version's combined maximum power is 330 horsepower.
