The 2025 ChangAn ShenLan S05 EV SUV features a clean exterior design, building on the family's styling with a more streamlined and tech-focused look. The front of the vehicle has a closed-off grille design, with split light clusters on each side and a three-part air intake below. It includes DLP headlights equipped with HUAWEI XPIXEL technology, providing 1.3 million pixels, a projection size of up to 120 inches, allowing ground projections for pedestrian interaction or lane-level guidance. These lights can even project onto walls to play videos or mirror the central control screen. Additionally, the ShenLan S05 comes with two 25-watt external speakers and six auxiliary lighting modes.

From the side, the ChangAn ShenLan S05 shows smooth and clean body lines, conveying a sense of movement. Black trim accents below the windows and doors add a sporty touch, while a rear spoiler enhances the roofline's sleekness. Notably, the S05 has a circular indicator light on the C-pillar that can display battery levels in three segments.

At the center of the roof, the 2025 ChangAn ShenLan S05 EV SUV includes a 48-megapixel camera, which the manufacturer refers to as a "gimbal camera." This camera supports one-touch smart capture, voice-activated photo-taking, 4K recording, 120° rotation, and can take 180° panoramic shots, with built-in electronic image stabilization.

The 2025 ChangAn ShenLan S05 EV SUV comes standard with an integrated intelligent driving and parking system, featuring one 8-megapixel high-definition camera, four surround-view cameras, five millimeter-wave radars, and twelve ultrasonic sensors.

The rear design of the ShenLan S05 echoes the simplicity of the front, featuring sharp, continuous taillights and a high-positioned brake light. The rear bumper, with black accents, aligns with the vehicle's side panels. The SUV's dimensions are 4620 mm in length, 1900 mm in width, and 1600 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2880 mm.

Inside, the ShenLan S05 offers a vibrant dual-tone interior color scheme, accented with chrome details for a youthful appeal. It includes a three-spoke flat-bottom steering wheel, a large "sunflower" screen, and hidden air vents. The central control features a 15.6-inch sunflower screen that supports left-right rotation, running on the DEEPAL OS 3.0 system with an 8155 chip and a 14-speaker surround sound system. Other interior features include a panoramic sunroof, rear air vents, AR-HUD head-up display, and wireless phone charging.

In terms of power, the range-extended version of the ChangAn ShenLan S05 uses a 1.5L range extender with a maximum output of 72 kW, alongside a 160 kW drive motor. It offers two battery options, 17.08 kWh and 27.28 kWh, delivering electric-only ranges of 100 km and 155 km, with fuel consumption rates of 4.95L/100 km and 5.05L/100 km, respectively, when battery power is depleted. The pure electric model is equipped with a 175 kW motor, a 56.12 kWh battery, and has a CLTC electric range of 510 km.
