In terms of appearance, the 2025 NIO ET9 EV Sedan continues to follow the family design style, with an active intake grille at the lower bumper to optimize aerodynamics. The split headlights feature Micro LED wide-angle lighting modules, which prevent glare from affecting oncoming drivers and include functions like lane marking illumination.

The side profile of the new car adopts an aircraft-inspired design with a smooth roofline. The vehicle has 17 points of aerodynamic optimization, achieving a drag coefficient of 0.243. The dimensions of the NIO ET9 are 5324/2016/1620mm (length/width/height), with a wheelbase of 3250mm. The exterior mirrors have a two-tone design and integrate a welcome light carpet feature. It also comes with five wheel styles, ranging from 22 to 23 inches, a floating wheel badge, and an active adjustable rear spoiler. Additionally, the car is equipped with a sensor-controlled front hood, with a 105L front trunk and a 544L rear trunk. The active suspension automatically lowers the car height when opening the front/rear trunk for easier loading and unloading.

The new car still uses a lookout tower-style sensor layout, placing the LiDAR and front-view cameras on the roof. Additionally, it features dual wide-angle LiDAR units, which not only enable lateral scanning but also allow for a 70-degree longitudinal scan. These LiDARs help drivers monitor blind spots. Furthermore, the car is the first to be equipped with 4D millimeter-wave imaging radar, offering excellent penetration capability that significantly enhances forward perception and greatly improves driving safety.

The interior of the NIO ET9 features a brand-new design style, which is more minimalist and luxurious. It is equipped with a new dual-spoke rectangular steering wheel, a 15.6-inch AMOLED central touchscreen, a full-focus AR head-up display system, and NOMI, along with a shift-by-wire transmission. The car runs on the full-domain operating system, SkyOS, and is built on the 1+4+N technology cluster, covering areas such as vehicle control, intelligent driving, cabin, and mobile connectivity.

Inside, the NIO ET9 introduces the Skyline display, which can show vehicle information on both the driver's and passenger's sides, with the passenger side also offering some entertainment features. The center is equipped with a 15.6-inch AMOLED floating touchscreen, running on the SkyOS Tianxun system, which includes various functions like vehicle control, intelligent driving, cabin settings, and mobile connectivity. The car also comes with a full-focus AR head-up display and the NOMI AI assistant, which interacts with three external microphones for the first time. The cabin features a four-seat layout with 22-way power-adjustable front seats, and the passenger seat has a 350mm long sliding rail. All seats are equipped with heating, ventilation, and massage functions, and, in addition to the heated steering wheel and seats, heating is also provided for the front and rear door armrests, center armrests, and rear leg rests, with three-level independent adjustment. The rear seats offer a "Boss Key" mode for added comfort.

In terms of intelligent driving, the NIO ET9 is equipped with the Aquila 2.0 Super Sensory System, which consists of 31 high-precision sensing hardware, including long-range LiDAR, 4D imaging radar, dual wide-angle LiDAR, 8-megapixel high-definition cameras, and 3-megapixel surround-view cameras. It also features two self-developed 5nm intelligent driving chips, the Shenji NX9031, providing full coverage for intelligent driving scenarios such as highways, urban areas, parking, and point-to-point driving. The full-scenario navigation assistance (NOP+) can autonomously change lanes, overtake, adjust speed, and navigate through urban and highway roads. The ADAM 2.0 central supercomputing platform enables additional features like green wave speed guidance, vehicle entry payment, communication with NIO's battery swapping and supercharging stations, and vehicle platooning in V2X scenarios.

Regarding power, the NIO ET9 adopts a 900V high-voltage architecture and supercharging platform, utilizing a silicon carbide high-performance pure electric all-wheel-drive system. The front motor has a maximum power of 180kW, the rear motor delivers up to 340kW, and the system provides a combined torque of 700Nm. The 0-100km/h acceleration time is 4.3 seconds. The battery has a capacity of 100kWh, with an estimated CLTC range of 620km (23-inch wheels) and 650km (22-inch wheels). Additionally, it can gain 255km of range in just 5 minutes of charging, and battery swapping takes only 3 minutes.
