Why can't the suction pipe be plugged into the car fuel tank?

The car fuel tank is one of the key components to store fuel, but sometimes we have a problem, and that is that we can't insert the suction pipe into the tank. What is the reason for this? Let's dive in.

First of all, the tank anti-theft net can be one of the main factors that hinder the suction pipe from entering the tank. Nowadays, many cars are designed with anti-theft in mind, so they are equipped with an anti-theft net inside the fuel pipe, or the shape of the fuel pipe is zigzag. In this way, it is difficult for an ordinary sucker hose with a diameter of 1cm to pass through the fuel tank anti-theft net and cannot enter the fuel tank smoothly.

Secondly, a clogged fuel pump is also one of the common reasons why the tank cannot pump oil. When the fuel pump is clogged, the sucker works when the fuel tank is in a vacuum, which makes the soft sucker line ineffective. At this point, we may need to use a rigid sucker line and increase the pumping pressure to successfully pump the gasoline, but doing so may cause damage to the tank.

In addition, there is a common reason why there is not enough fuel in the tank. Before proceeding with the pumping operation, it is essential to ensure that there is enough fuel in the tank. We can judge the remaining fuel amount by the fuel level display on the car meter. If there is not enough fuel in the tank, the pumping operation will not be successful, even if the suctor pipe is inserted.

To sum up, there could be three main reasons as to why the suction line cannot be inserted into the car tank: the presence of a fuel tank anti-theft net, a clogged fuel pump, and not enough fuel in the tank. These factors limit access to the sucker pipe, which prevents smooth pumping of gasoline.
