What's Wrong If Only One Fog Light Is On

Most vehicles usually only have one rear fog light, and this design is not accidental but rather to clearly distinguish between the rear fog light and the brake light during night driving, avoiding misunderstandings for drivers behind. Therefore, if your new car has only one fog light on, rest assured, this is normal.

However, if your vehicle is equipped with two rear fog lights and one is on while the other is not, there may be a malfunction. In this case, you may consider contacting the technicians at the authorized service center (4S store) promptly to identify and rectify the issue with the rear fog lights.

If you want to install a second fog light, make sure to maintain a distance of at least 10 centimeters from the brake light. This way, you can enhance safety while balancing the aesthetics and functionality.

Additionally, similar to the fog light situation, some vehicles only have one reverse light. This design is mainly to clearly distinguish it from the brake light. It is recommended to refer to the vehicle manual to understand the lighting configuration of your car better, thus managing and maintaining your vehicle more effectively.
