The co-driver seat cushion airbag, as the name suggests, is a safety airbag located at the front of the co-driver's seat cushion. Its primary function is to act as a barrier, similar to a cushion or pillow, which deploys during a collision. This prevents the co-driver from sliding or intruding under the dashboard due to seating posture. It ensures that the co-driver's knees and lower body remain within the protective range of the airbag. Currently, seat cushion airbags are only installed in select models of Toyota and Lexus.
