What does RDM mean in a car? How do you use the car's RDM button?

"RDM" is an abbreviation for the English word "random," which translates to "随机" in Chinese. In a car, it's a dedicated button for the audio system, mainly representing the shuffle play function. This allows the music in the playlist to switch in a random manner.

Its usage is very straightforward. When the audio system is playing music, press the "RDM" button, and the audio system will then play songs in a random order.

Apart from the RDM button, there are a few other buttons on the car audio system with similar functions, such as the "RPT" and "FOLDER" buttons. "RPT" is an abbreviation for the English word "repeat." In the car, it's mainly used for looping a song, which is the single song loop playback well-known to many.

The "FOLDER" button is slightly different, referring to a directory or folder, and is primarily used to switch audio files. Specifically, when you have created two or more audio folders, pressing the "FOLDER" button will switch the current audio playback to the next audio folder.

Car audio system key functions:

1:The "SEL/AF" button is used to switch the audio system's band, like from the AM band to the AF band.

2:The "PWR" button - a short press can be used to turn on the audio device directly, while holding the button for about 1 second will shut the audio off.

3:The "VOL" knob allows users to adjust the audio volume based on preference.

4:The "AMS" button, when the audio system is in radio mode and this button is pressed for more than 2 seconds, the radio stations received by the audio system will be automatically saved in the 1-6 preset stations. In MP3 mode, this button can be used to select the MP3 menu.

5:The "MUTE" button provides a one-touch mute function for the audio system.

6:The "LOUD" button adjusts the audio system's loudness. Using it properly can enhance the music experience while driving.
