1：What is it?
A roll cage is a detachable assembly of steel pipes. It is made by bending cold-drawn seamless carbon steel pipes, which are connected or welded together according to the contour of the vehicle's interior when installed. If the vehicle's outer shell is removed, what can be seen is a metal cage constructed from several steel pipes. Therefore, it is also known as a "roll cage" in Hong Kong.

3：Features
Renowned international racing equipment companies such as SPARCO, OMP, RECARO, and other brands produce roll cages specifically designed for various car models eligible for racing each year, based on the annual racing catalog issued by the FIA. For certain car models in domestic competitions that are not registered to participate in international-level races, roll cages are individually fabricated by racing teams or commissioned external units. However, they must adhere to the technical standards for domestic car racing modifications set by the China Automobile Federation. Since the serious accident involving Alessandro Zanardi at the Nürburgring in 1999, roll cages have been required to undergo rigorous impact testing to meet strict safety standards.
