1:What is it used for?

Pedestrian airbags, similar to traditional airbags, are designed to protect pedestrians outside of the vehicle and provide a safeguard for their lives.
2:Did you know?
Pedestrian airbags employ two types of airbags that can protect pedestrians during collisions. One is the hood airbag, and the other is the bumper airbag. When used together, they effectively reduce injuries caused by vehicle impacts with pedestrians.
3:Misconception:

Pedestrian airbags can only provide a certain level of protection for pedestrians and cannot guarantee that pedestrians will be entirely uninjured.
4:Principle:
Pedestrian airbags are triggered by airbag sensors that detect the initial collision between pedestrians and the bumper. During the time when the pedestrian rolls onto the hood towards the front windshield, the airbag inflates. The airbag not only covers the bottom of the windshield but also protects critical "hard points" such as the wiper pivot and the hood support.

ASADB (Active Safety Airbag Device) actively deploys pedestrian airbags when obstacles are approximately 3 meters in front of the vehicle. It forms an inflatable framework rubber airbag in front and behind the vehicle, providing cushioning and energy absorption for pedestrians, occupants in both the front and rear of the vehicle, the driver, the vehicle itself, objects, and rear-end collision vehicles. ASADB active pedestrian airbags are cost-effective and can be reused multiple times.
