1:What is it?

Chassis armor refers to a layer of 2-4mm thick elastic sealing material sprayed underneath the car chassis. It can be sprayed on exposed areas such as the vehicle chassis, fuel tank, underbody panels, and trunk. After quick drying, it forms a strong elastic protective layer.
2:Function
Chassis armor serves several purposes:
• Effectively protects the chassis from impacts of road gravel and prevents minor scraping.
• Prevents corrosion of chassis metal plates caused by acids, alkalis, and salts.
• Prevents loosening of chassis screws.
• Reduces the transmission of noise during driving, increasing a sense of tranquility for the driver.
• Prevents heat conduction from the chassis metal plates, providing a comfortable interior temperature in the cabin.
3:Types:

• Asphalt-based chassis rustproof adhesive: After drying, asphalt tends to crack and form numerous cracks. Water hidden in these cracks can lead to a "battery effect," causing more severe corrosion to the car chassis and posing greater harm to the vehicle.
• Oil-based (solvent-based) chassis rustproof adhesive: These products contain toxic substances (such as toluene) harmful to human health and the environment as solvents for dilution. Additionally, the adhesive layer of oil-based products is rigid and prone to cracking with slight bending, resulting in poor effectiveness for chassis sound insulation.
• Water-based chassis rustproof adhesive: Also known as environmentally friendly chassis rustproof adhesive because it uses water as a diluent and does not contain toxic substances. Water-based chassis rustproof adhesive has strong adhesion, good elasticity of the adhesive layer, and significant sound insulation effects on the chassis.
• Composite high molecular resin paint: The first and second-generation products were non-environmentally friendly and gradually phased out of the market. The third-generation products are environmentally friendly but have longer construction times due to temperature and humidity limitations. The fourth-generation environmentally friendly fast-drying chassis armor has high waterproofing, elasticity, corrosion resistance, and noise reduction properties. It incorporates a unique deep ionization quadruple grafting technology, combining four different high molecular materials into one. It is not affected by humidity or temperature, significantly reducing construction time compared to previous chassis armor products. This greatly benefits vehicle owners and construction personnel.
4:Main Brands:
The main brands of chassis armor in the market include GODV, 3M, UNIKS, KELOR, Henkel, Wurth, Honeywell, Ray-Ban, Goodyear, Bosi Li, LDH, and more. GODV, UNIKS, Henkel, and LDH primarily use rubber-based materials.
