Recently, many Mercedes-Benz owners have been asking about how to switch between the S (Sport) and C (Comfort) modes on their newly purchased vehicles. Many are unfamiliar with the various functions, particularly when it comes to gear modes like S and C. Let's explain the function of these modes and how to switch from S mode back to C mode.

How to deactivate S Mode in a Mercedes-Benz:
1:First, start the vehicle by pressing the start button located beneath the steering wheel on the driver's side.
2:Locate the driving mode switch button on the center console, and press it.
3:The driving mode switch is located on the gear lever. Simply move the lever to deactivate S mode and switch back to C (Comfort) mode or E (Eco) mode.
E Mode (ECO Mode):
E Mode, also known as Eco Mode, is the most fuel-efficient mode. When using ECO mode in a Mercedes, the vehicle saves fuel and energy, but the power output is reduced, making driving feel somewhat sluggish. The transmission will try to shift to the highest possible gear, reaching 6th gear at just 60 km/h to cruise efficiently.
C Mode (Comfort Mode):
C Mode, also known as Comfort Mode, is the mode most commonly used during regular driving. When the vehicle is in Comfort Mode, it offers a balanced, smooth, and steady driving experience. Steering is light and precise at low speeds, making driving easier for the driver.
S Mode (Sport Mode):
S Mode, or Sport Mode, is a more aggressive driving mode. When in Sport Mode, the transmission keeps the engine's RPM above 2500, and the steering becomes firmer. This allows the vehicle to deliver a more powerful and dynamic performance, enhancing the car's acceleration and responsiveness.
