When a car's clutch makes a "squeaking" sound, one possible reason is due to dry friction. To address this, simply apply some grease, specifically a type like yellow grease, to the springs and areas where friction occurs. It's essential not to use engine oil because it can produce sludge. Over time, this can result in oil stains inside the car and around the foot area. Moreover, standard lubricating oils can become dry over extended periods. Hence, the effect of yellow grease tends to be much better.

Another potential issue could be signs of damage to the release bearing. In such a case, one might try adding yellow grease to the following areas: on both sides of the release shaft bearing, the clutch pedal shaft, the universal joint of the transmission, the splined shaft of the drive shaft, the lower bracket of the shock absorber, the shifter support, the brake gap adjusting arm, the water pump bearing, the fan bracket grease nozzle, and the steel spring pin.
The clutch release bearing is situated between the clutch and the transmission. The release bearing seat loosely fits onto the tubular extension of the transmission's first shaft bearing cover. A return spring ensures that the release bearing is stopped by the release fork and maintains a gap of about 3-4mm with the end of the release lever (or release finger).
If the "squeaking" sound persists after attempting the above remedies, it's essential to visit a repair shop or a 4S store promptly for inspection and repair. This step will help prevent any major vehicle issues and potential safety threats. Such problems could include a broken clutch pressure plate spring, a loosened release bearing, shattered clutch plates, a fractured release lever, excessive wear, or a broken release lever adjustment bolt.
For daily driving, when there's no need to use the clutch, drivers should avoid keeping their left foot continuously on the clutch pedal. Also, when using half-clutch techniques, it's essential to manage time well and try to protect the clutch disc to prolong its lifespan.
