Xpeng's Flying Cars Secure First 100 Orders

South Lake Institute of Transportation and Xpeng Huitian have signed a pre-order agreement, planning to reserve 100 "Land Aircraft Carrier" flying cars for comprehensive management in transportation sectors such as roads, waterways, as well as for the experience of flying camps and station shuttle transport.

Simultaneously, the South Lake Institute of Transportation, the Traffic Law Enforcement Bureau of the Ningxia Transportation Department, and Xiaopeng Huitian have jointly signed a cooperation agreement for the pilot application of flying cars, aiming to be the first to demonstrate the use of flying cars in the fields of transportation, culture, tourism, and more.

Xpeng Huitian is a flying car company jointly invested in by He Xiaopeng, Xiaopeng Motors, Zhao Deli, and others. The company was established in September 2020, focusing on the development of intelligent electric flying cars.

On January 30th of this year, Xiaopeng Huitian's flying car, the Traveler X2, obtained the special flight permit issued by the Civil Aviation Administration of Central and Southern China, becoming the first domestically applied for and approved manned electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft.

In October of last year, this flying car performed the world's first public flight in Dubai, marking the first public flight demonstration in the local area after the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority issued the special flight permit for the X2. Prior to this, He Xiaopeng, Chairman of Xiaopeng Motors and Chairman of Xiaopeng Huitian, revealed the goal of achieving mass production of flying cars by 2024 with a price controlled within one million yuan.
