It is reported that the project covers an area of approximately 110,000 square meters and includes seven building units: a production plant, testing workshop, research and development center with office building, laboratory, comprehensive station, scrap warehouse, and hydrogen supply station. These units primarily support the research and production of hydrogen fuel cell stacks and systems based on Toyota technology.

Specifically, the project is mainly composed of Huafeng Fuel Cell Co., Ltd. and United Fuel Cell System R&D (Beijing) Co., Ltd., both located in Beijing Yizhuang.

According to the plan, the first phase of the Toyota fuel cell research and production project will start production in July this year. At that time, the project will integrate fuel cell research, production, and sales. After the initial ramp-up phase, it is expected to achieve an annual production capacity of 5,000 to 10,000 fuel cell systems and stacks, generating an industrial output value of 3 to 5 billion yuan annually upon reaching full capacity. Additionally, the second phase of the project is scheduled to start in 2026, doubling the production capacity.
