Tesla To Face Fourth Price Increase Next Week

As the 2023 Guangzhou Auto Show and the 2023 Los Angeles Auto Show are both underway, generating significant excitement, it is regrettable that Tesla is not present at either event. However, this does not prevent Tesla from bringing forth some news, albeit not particularly pleasing. According to sources within Tesla, the company is set to experience its fourth price increase in the coming week, although the insider did not disclose the specific models that would see an increase or the extent of the price hike.

Looking at previous adjustments, it is evident that the entire lineup of Model 3 and Model Y has already experienced price increases. Among them, the entire Model 3 lineup has seen a price hike of ¥1,500, while the two performance models of Model Y witnessed an increase of ¥2,500, and the high-performance version saw an uptick of ¥14,000.

Earlier, media outlets interviewed Tesla sales representatives, and they expressed that "this price increase, relative to the price reduction in August of this year, is essentially a 'price correction.' On one hand, it is because Tesla's sales are strong, and on the other hand, it is due to significant pressure on the production line, with production costs also rising. From our perspective, a price increase is an inevitable occurrence." The sales representative also mentioned, "According to the information I have received, following this price increase, subsequent prices may continue to rise."

According to the Tesla official website, the long-range models generally have a waiting period of around 6-9 weeks, while the rear-wheel-drive and high-performance versions have a waiting period of approximately 2-6 weeks.
