According to media reports, Oregon police stated that a Tesla showroom was shot at for the second time within a week.
On March 13, the Tesla showroom on Southwest Cascade Avenue in Tigard, Oregon, was targeted in a shooting during the early morning hours, with multiple bullets striking the store.
Police received a report at 4:15 a.m. local time and rushed to the scene. A security guard on patrol discovered the damage and contacted law enforcement. Authorities told the media that the building was hit by 10 to 15 rounds, damaging both vehicles and the structure, with the extent of the damage described as "severe."
On March 6, the same store was also attacked in a shooting, allegedly carried out by protesters targeting Tesla and its CEO, Elon Musk. In that incident, seven bullets struck three vehicles and the showroom.
This is not the only Tesla store that has suffered severe damage due to violent protests over political disagreements. Another Tesla showroom in Oregon was previously attacked with Molotov cocktails, and a suspect was later identified and arrested.
However, police stated that there are currently no leads regarding the Tigard Tesla showroom case, and no suspects have been identified in either of the two incidents.
Recently, opposition against Musk and Tesla has been mounting, with Tesla owners worldwide reporting cases of vehicle vandalism by individuals opposed to Musk's views and stance.
Earlier this week, U.S. President Donald Trump announced that any violent or destructive acts targeting Tesla vehicles, owners, or company property would be considered domestic terrorism. Standing beside Musk at a White House event, Trump stated, "We already know who these people are. We will catch them-they are bad people."
Regarding Musk, Trump added, "I think he has been treated very unfairly by a small group of people. I just want to make it clear that he should not be punished for being a patriot. He is a great patriot, and he has done incredible things at Tesla."
