Recently, Tesla (Shanghai) Limited and Tesla Automobile (Beijing) Limited, in accordance with the requirements of the "Regulations on the Recall of Defective Automobile Products" and the "Implementation Measures for the Regulations on the Recall of Defective Automobile Products," filed a recall plan with the State Administration for Market Regulation. As of now, they are recalling a total of 1,617,643 electric vehicles, including imported Model S, Model X, Model 3, and domestically produced Model 3 and Model Y.

Recall Batches:
As of now, a recall is initiated for some imported Model S and Model X electric vehicles produced between October 26, 2022, and November 16, 2023, totaling 7,538 vehicles.
Reason for Recall:
Vehicles within this recall range may have a logic control issue with the door unlocking mechanism. In the event of a collision, the non-collision side door latch may detach from the lock, leaving the door in an unlocked state, posing a safety hazard.
Solution:
Tesla Automobile (Beijing) Limited will perform a free software upgrade for the vehicles in the recall range using Over-the-Air (OTA) technology. This upgrade will prevent the door latch from detaching during a collision. Users can complete the software upgrade remotely without visiting a service center. For vehicles that cannot be recalled through OTA technology, Tesla Automobile (Beijing) Limited will contact the affected users through Tesla service centers to perform a free software upgrade, eliminating the safety hazard.
Emergency Measures: Users are advised to drive their vehicles cautiously before the recall is implemented. Once they receive a notification for the recall software update, they should promptly upgrade their vehicle's software.
As of now, a recall is initiated for some imported Model S, Model X, Model 3, and domestically produced Model 3 and Model Y electric vehicles produced between August 26, 2014, and December 20, 2023, totaling 1,610,105 vehicles.
Reason for Recall:
Vehicles within this recall range may have an increased risk of collisions when the driver mistakenly uses Level 2 combined driving assistance functions while the automatic steering function is activated, posing a safety hazard.
Solution:
Tesla Automobile (Beijing) Limited and Tesla (Shanghai) Limited will use Over-the-Air (OTA) technology to push new functionality to the vehicles in the recall range. This includes additional automatic steering control and relevant prompts, encouraging drivers to fulfill their driving responsibilities and adhere to driving regulations when using this function, thereby reducing the risk of collisions due to misuse of the steering assistance function. This recall will be implemented in stages, and users can complete the software upgrade remotely without visiting a service center. For vehicles that cannot be recalled through OTA technology, Tesla (Shanghai) Limited and Tesla Automobile (Beijing) Limited will contact the affected users through Tesla service centers to perform a free software upgrade.
