Recently, Dongfeng Motor Co., Ltd., in accordance with the "Regulations on the Recall of Defective Automobile Products" and the "Implementation Measures for the Regulations on the Recall of Defective Automobile Products," has filed a recall plan with the State Administration for Market Regulation.
Recall Batch:
Starting from today, the recall covers a portion of Dongfeng Nissan's ARIYA electric vehicles produced between August 25, 2022, and May 29, 2023, amounting to 2,958 vehicles.
Reason for Recall:
Vehicles within the scope of this recall have an inverter software setting issue. When foreign objects enter between the positive and negative poles at the slip ring of the drive motor, causing an instantaneous abnormal current, the inverter will immediately go into protection mode and cut off the power supply, leading to a sudden power loss while the vehicle is in motion, thus presenting a safety risk.
Recall Measures:
Dongfeng Motor Co., Ltd. will offer a free software upgrade for the inverter on recalled vehicles to eliminate the safety hazard.
