Toyota's fuel cell project was completed and production is scheduled to start in July

On June 7, Beijing Yizhuang officially revealed that as one of the largest foreign-funded projects introduced by Beijing in the field of hydrogen energy, Toyota's fuel cell R&D and production project (phase I) has recently passed the completion acceptance.

It is reported that the project covers an area of about 110,000 square meters, including a production plant, a test workshop, a research and development center and office building, a laboratory, a comprehensive station building, a waste warehouse, and a hydrogen supply station.

Specifically, the main body of the project is composed of Huafeng Fuel Cell Co., Ltd. and United Fuel Cell System R&D (Beijing) Co., Ltd., which are located in Yizhuang, Beijing.

According to the plan, Toyota's fuel cell R&D and production project (phase I) will be put into operation in July this year. At that time, the project will integrate fuel cell R&D, production and sales, and form an annual output capacity of 5,000-10,000 fuel cell systems and stacks after the initial production capacity ramp-up stage, which is expected to bring 3 billion to 5 billion yuan of industrial output value per year after reaching production. In addition, by 2026, the second phase of the project will double its production capacity.
