Over 280,000! Dodge/Chrysler Overseas Recall!

Recently, we learned from the media that Stellantis Group announced a recall of certain Dodge Charger and Chrysler 300 models produced between 2018 and 2021, totaling 284,982 vehicles. It is reported that due to a defect in the side curtain airbags, internal parts may rupture and enter the vehicle cabin, posing a risk of injury to occupants.

This recall involves a total of 284,982 sedans. Stellantis Group stated that less than 1% of the vehicles have the issue, and no accidents or injuries related to this problem have been reported so far. The company urges owners to cooperate promptly to resolve the issue. Technical personnel will replace the faulty airbag components free of charge. The cause of this problem is attributed to possible moisture ingress during the manufacturing process, leading to corrosion of the airbag's deployment mechanism.
