Jeep Announces Recall Of 9,713 Imported Grand Cherokees in China

Recently, Chrysler (China) Automotive Sales Co., Ltd., in accordance with the "Regulations on the Recall of Defective Automobile Products" and the "Implementation Measures for the Regulations on the Recall of Defective Automobile Products," filed a recall plan with the State Administration for Market Regulation, recalling 9,713 Grand Cherokees.

Recall Range:

Effective immediately, the recall involves a total of 9,713 imported Grand Cherokee vehicles produced between September 13, 2013, and July 13, 2017.

Recall Reason:

Some vehicles within this recall range have damaged camshaft rollers in the high-pressure fuel pump, generating metal debris that may block the fuel system. This could result in insufficient fuel supply from the high-pressure fuel pump, leading to a loss of power while driving, posing a safety hazard.

Solution:

Chrysler (China) Automotive Sales Co., Ltd. will replace the high-pressure fuel pump for all affected vehicles free of charge. They will also inspect the fuel system and replace any additional fuel system components if contamination is found, to eliminate safety risks.
