On June 16th, according to official news from Schaeffler, in order to meet the growing demand in the market, Schaeffler is accelerating the expansion of localized production capacity for high-end bearings. The plan is to invest a total of 500 million yuan in the Yinchuan factory over the next five years, constructing high-end bearing production lines, intelligent testing equipment, and automated logistics facilities for automotive and industrial applications.
At the same time, the Yinchuan factory will focus on Industry 4.0 and intelligent manufacturing, comprehensively enhancing the levels of automation, digitization, and intelligence within the factory, achieving a comprehensive upgrade to an intelligent factory.
Schaeffler mentioned that with the comprehensive advancement of China's "dual-carbon" goals and the rapid development of the new energy vehicle market, the demand for high-end bearings continues to increase. In the future, as the localization project for high-end bearings in the Yinchuan factory progresses, Schaeffler will further enhance its local capabilities in the high-end manufacturing and new energy vehicle sectors, responding rapidly to customer demands.
According to official information, Schaeffler has been deeply cultivating its presence in China for many years and currently has two research and development centers and 11 factories in the country. Among them, Schaeffler (Ningxia) Co., Ltd. was established in 2001, marking the start of its development layout in Yinchuan. In 2002, the Schaeffler Yinchuan factory was officially put into operation. Currently, Schaeffler has two factories and one dual-system training center in Yinchuan. Schaeffler stated that the Yinchuan factory has become an important manufacturing base for Schaeffler's high-end bearings in China's automotive and industrial sectors.
