A GM spokesperson revealed that the plant has already entered a production halt this week. In a statement, the spokesperson stated that the factory shutdown is necessary to carry out technical modifications, optimize manufacturing processes, and enhance production efficiency.

Sources indicate that the plant will also suspend production during the weeks of March 17, March 24, and May 19. This production halt is closely related to Chevrolet's upcoming launch of the 2025 Corvette ZR1 in the second quarter of this year.

The upcoming Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 will feature the Corvette series' first turbocharged V-8 engine, delivering a maximum output of 1,064 horsepower and a peak torque of 828 lb-ft, with a top speed of 233 mph.

Regarding pricing, the Chevrolet Corvette 1LZ coupe starts at $174,995, while the 1LZ hardtop convertible starts at $184,995. The 3LZ coupe has a starting price of $185,995, and the convertible version starts at $195,995. All prices include destination charges.

This factory shutdown and upgrade will ensure the production quality and capacity of the new Corvette ZR1, fully preparing for its upcoming release.
