On January 15, 2025, local time, Geely Automobile's BAMC factory in October 6 City, Giza Governorate, Egypt, officially began production, with the global best-selling models Coolray and Emgrand rolling off the production line.
As Geely's first CKD (Completely Knocked Down) factory in the Middle East and Africa, the launch of this facility will drive the transformation and upgrading of Egypt's automotive manufacturing industry, offering consumers a better intelligent mobility experience.

The Geely Egypt CKD factory is Egypt's first modern facility capable of producing both sedans and SUVs on the same production line. It is the first to introduce laser fusion welding technology in the country and has also integrated KUKA industrial robots for the first time, significantly enhancing manufacturing precision and product quality.
Thanks to the flexibility and scalability of the BMA architecture, the factory utilizes Egypt's first mixed-line production mode for both sedans and SUVs, achieving breakthroughs in manufacturing processes and production efficiency.
Additionally, the factory adheres to Geely's global quality standards for full-process quality management and has received multiple international certifications. In the future, the factory is expected to reach an annual production capacity of nearly 30,000 units and will expand local assembly of more models.

Geely has also established 45 sales and service outlets in Egypt, strengthening its deep connection with Egyptian consumers. In terms of local industry chain empowerment, Geely actively responds to Egypt's "Vision 2030," continuously improving its local manufacturing, supply, and service industry chain, and working with local partners to create a world-class automotive ecosystem.
As the Egyptian automotive industry transitions toward intelligent and electrified vehicles, Geely will leverage its global manufacturing advantages and brand strength, actively cultivate local professional talent, and work closely with local suppliers to provide high-quality, diverse, and intelligent mobility experiences for local consumers.
Geely's local operations in Egypt are a microcosm of Geely's global "system export" model.
Currently, Geely Automobile Group's international influence continues to grow, with export sales exceeding 400,000 units in 2024, marking a year-on-year growth of over 53%.
In terms of market channels, the Geely brand has established a vast marketing network covering nearly 900 sales and service outlets across more than 80 countries and regions. Geely is accelerating its business expansion in five key markets: Europe, Africa, Latin America, the Middle East, and Asia-Pacific, working to build a more internationally competitive global operational system.
In 2025, Geely will add over 300 sales and service outlets to its overseas network, with the total number of global outlets exceeding 1,100 by the end of the year, further enhancing Geely's channel coverage and after-sales service capabilities.
