On July 17, GAC Aion's Thailand smart factory was officially completed, and the second generation of its first global strategic model, the AION V, was also launched simultaneously worldwide.
It is understood that the annual production capacity of the first phase of the Thailand smart factory is 50,000 units, which will gradually be expanded to 100,000 units per year. The factory will be capable of producing multiple GAC Aion models, including the second generation AION V, AION Y Plus, and Hyper HT.

The Thailand smart eco-factory is Aion's first overseas factory, fully transplanting the same technology from the world's only new energy lighthouse factory.
In the future, the Thailand smart factory will serve as the core of GAC Aion's presence in Southeast Asia, supporting its global expansion.
In addition to Thailand, GAC Aion plans to enter countries such as Qatar and Mexico in the second half of this year. Additionally, models like the Hyper HT and Hyper SSR will be introduced to overseas markets. In the next 1-2 years, GAC Aion plans to establish seven major production and sales bases in Europe, South America, Africa, the Middle East, and East Asia, gradually achieving global integration of research, production, and sales.
In June this year, GAC Aion's global sales reached 35,027 units. From January to June, GAC Aion's cumulative global sales amounted to 177,366 units.
Previously, GAC Aion General Manager Gu Huinan revealed in a media interview that the company has set a sales target of 700,000 units for 2024. Based on this target, GAC Aion's current completion rate is only 25.34%. With nearly half the year gone, achieving the annual target remains quite challenging for GAC Aion.
