EV Charging Service Provider IONNA Establishes Global Headquarters in The United States

According to media reports, Tesla Supercharger Network competitor IONNA has chosen Durham, North Carolina, as its global headquarters. IONNA is a charging network created by BMW, General Motors, Honda, Hyundai, Kia, Mercedes-Benz, and Stellantis.

IONNA CEO Seth Cutler stated, "We are excited to make Durham our home. The area's long history of research and innovation, coupled with its vibrant development community, makes it an ideal place for IONNA to join, grow, and expand. I am thrilled to build a cross-industry team to realize IONNA's vision at our new headquarters."

Durham, with its abundance of tech talent dedicated to innovation, has become the ideal headquarters location for IONNA. The IONNA headquarters will be situated in the heart of the Research Triangle in Durham.

North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper said, "IONNA's decision to base its headquarters in Durham is a testament to our reputation in the global electric vehicle industry. This cutting-edge company and its founding automakers will benefit from North Carolina's innovative ecosystem, highly skilled workforce, and central location to bring their groundbreaking technology to market."

IONNA has been preparing to enter the U.S. electric vehicle charging market. The company has received regulatory approval to begin operations in North America. Its initial goal is to establish at least 30,000 high-power charging stations.
