Chery Plans To Enter The U.S. Market With A Focus On New Energy Vehicles

Brian Wu, Executive Vice President of Chery Mexico, stated in an interview that Chery has begun formulating a business strategy to enter the U.S. market, although specific timeframes were not disclosed.

Brian Wu said, "The U.S. market is very important to us. We have drafted a roadmap on how to penetrate the American market, but frankly, I can't reveal more about our strategy at this moment."

Chery's initial offerings in the U.S. market will primarily be all-electric and plug-in hybrid models. Chery believes that their products can meet U.S. standards for automobile quality and safety, aligning with customer expectations. Currently, Chery's export sales have surpassed its domestic sales, making it the top Chinese passenger car exporter for 20 consecutive years.
