It is worth noting that Great Wall Motors is not the first car company to apply for GPT-related trademarks. In recent times, NIO, XPeng, Li Auto, and Chery Automobile have all applied for GPT-related trademarks. For example, NIO applied for "NIOGPT," XPeng applied for "XPGPT," and Li Auto applied for "MindGPT."

After the release of ChatGPT, domestic companies such as Baidu, Alibaba, and iFLYTEK have successively released similar large-scale GPT models. Analysts believe that Great Wall Motors' application for GPT-related trademarks may be related to its strategic layout in the field of large-scale GPT models. With the increasing intelligence of automotive products, it has become necessary for car companies to invest in large-scale GPT models.

In the future, competition in the automotive industry will focus on the competition of intelligent capabilities. With the emergence of generative large-scale models like ChatGPT, the automotive industry is also being influenced by the AI storm. Some analysts suggest that in the future, both car manufacturers and suppliers will need to incorporate AI models to increase efficiency, from product design, drawing, requirement design, and platform design to app development and middleware testing.
