Recently, BYD officially released design sketches for its upcoming model, the Sea Lion 07 EV. This new vehicle belongs to the Ocean Net series, positioned as a pure electric SUV, and is built on the e Platform 3.0, featuring a crossover design. The car is set to make its global debut at the Guangzhou Auto Show opening on November 17.

In terms of appearance, the BYD Sea Lion 07 EV is crafted by BYD's global design team led by Wolfgang Egger, BYD's Global Design Director. Building on the success of Ocean Aesthetics design, it presents the essence of a new generation of styling. The front end continues the design language of the Ocean X concept car, featuring an X-shaped structure with a mysterious oceanic quality. Sharp lines add richness to the front and connect with the large headlights, visually widening the front face.

On the side, the Sea Lion 07 EV adopts a sleek design, with the roof's graceful and smooth curves extending to the rear, creating a design with a strong sense of modern fashion, enhancing the overall elegance. The upward-sloping shoulder line, along with unique large-size wide-body fenders and five-spoke wheels, conveys a strong sense of athleticism.

At the rear, the car is equipped with the popular through-type taillight design. The low-hanging shapes on both ends depict the surface tension of the sea, cleverly incorporating marine elements and echoing the front design. Additionally, a combination of rich straight lines and dynamic curves creates a visually impactful design.
In terms of power, the Sea Lion 07 EV is built on BYD's e Platform 3.0 and features a pure electric drive. Drawing inspiration from the power layout of the BYD Sea Lion EV, the Sea Lion 07 EV is expected to offer both a single-motor rear-wheel-drive and a dual-motor all-wheel-drive powertrain.
