On November 30th, BYD Denza announced that the BYD Denza D9 has initiated an over-the-air (OTA) upgrade, covering aspects such as intelligent driving control, smart cockpit, voice recognition, and comfort experience.
Specifically, in this OTA upgrade, the BYD Denza D9's Cloud Chariot-C Comfort Control introduces a new three-level adjustment, allowing users to customize vehicle settings according to their preferences. Additionally, users can control this feature through voice commands, further enhancing convenience.
This upgrade also introduces a One-Key Nap mode. When activated, the central control screen turns off, daytime driving lights shut down, interior ambient lights turn off, the seat automatically moves backward and adjusts to a reclining position, and the doors lock automatically, providing users with a quiet and private resting space. Users can also set the multimedia system's volume for a more comfortable rest environment.
Moreover, this OTA upgrade adds new features such as UWB Welcome Light function, wireless charging phone reminder, heating and cooling box explosion-proof reminder, and Baby Mode.
The UWB Welcome Light function automatically activates the welcome lights when users approach the vehicle with their mobile phone UWB digital key. The second-row screen now includes a wireless charging phone reminder feature, which notifies users through animation and voice when leaving the car to avoid forgetting their phones.
The heating and cooling box explosion-proof reminder is a real-time alert for users not to place explosive beverages like cola in the box when heating. Baby Mode, specifically designed for children, locks the control screen of the second-row seats to prevent unintentional adjustments by children.
Furthermore, this upgrade optimizes the response speed and recognition rate of the voice control system. According to official statements from BYD Denza, the response speed when activating this feature can reach the 400-millisecond level, and it can recognize fast-paced voice commands from users. Additionally, the efficiency and recognition rate of intelligent voice interaction for passengers aged 5-8 and above have been improved, ensuring a better voice control experience even for younger passengers.
