On June 1st, BAIC (Beijing Automotive Industry Holding Co.) launched its new Jiabao model, offering 3 different trim levels. The Jiabao is positioned as a micro electric vehicle with a range of 120-220km.

Based on BAIC's Starry Sky platform, the Jiabao is a five-door, four-seater model. It features a compact and square overall design with a slightly rugged front fascia, adopting the classic enclosed grille design seen in pure electric cars. The side profile showcases clean and straight lines, and the floating roof design incorporates the popular design element of the time. The Jiabao also features steel wheels with dual-color wheel covers, and the tire size is 155/65 R13.

The rear end follows the square and compact styling, with a touch of crossover elements on the rear bumper. The taillights are square and compact, integrating LED light sources. Black high-gloss accents are used between the taillights, complementing the front of the vehicle. The Jiabao is available in three body colors: Pearl White, Dream Gray, and Vibrant Green. The dimensions of the vehicle are 3532mm in length, 1498mm in width, 1605mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2275mm, slightly larger than the Yuanbao.

Depending on the configuration, the new car will be equipped with dual 7-inch screens. In terms of functionality, it will offer features such as navigation, smartphone connectivity, Bluetooth, reverse camera, and air conditioning control. In terms of power, the new car is equipped with a permanent magnet synchronous motor with maximum power of 25kW and 30kW, and peak torque of 100Nm. For the battery, it adopts 10.88kWh, 15.12kWh, and 17.28kWh lithium-ion battery options, providing three versions of the range: 122km, 172km, and 205km. Charging is only supported for slow charging, taking 7 hours and 9 hours, respectively.
