Recently, according to media reports, the Alfa Romeo Giulia and Stelvio Quadrifoglio models sold in North America will officially cease production in June 2024. Based on current information, it is uncertain whether the cessation of Quadrifoglio production will extend to other global markets. However, it is confirmed that the Giulia and Stelvio models equipped with the 2.0T engine will continue to be sold.
Larry Dominique, head of Alfa Romeo in North America, stated that the final orders for Quadrifoglio models in North America will be accepted by the end of April this year, and production will conclude in June at the Cassino factory in Italy. This marks the last opportunity to acquire vehicles with the 512-horsepower 2.9T twin-turbocharged V6 powertrain. "As Alfa Romeo evolves towards electrification in the future, the Quadrifoglio story is not over yet. I look forward to introducing the next chapter of the Quadrifoglio journey."
The official Stellantis North America account on social media platform X also corroborated his statement. "While this may be sad news for some enthusiasts, new electrified products under the Quadrifoglio brand are in the works." Alfa Romeo is moving towards an electrified future, which is no longer a secret. The Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale, which made its global debut in August 2023, confirmed this trend as it became the last sports car from Alfa Romeo to be equipped with an internal combustion engine.
According to previous reports, the next-generation Alfa Romeo Giulia is expected to complete its electrification transformation by 2025, becoming a fully electric product. The Quadrifoglio version is expected to have a maximum power output of over 1000 horsepower. It is speculated that the Quadrifoglio version may be equipped with three electric motors, not only boasting power parameters comparable to supercars but also expected to have outstanding range performance, with an estimated range of 435 miles (approximately 700 kilometers).
