In terms of the exterior, the Honda ZR-V e:HEV hybrid model differs from the fuel-powered version. The main differences are seen in the grille and fog lamp areas. The grille changes from a honeycomb pattern to a vertical slat design, and the openings for the fog lamps become smaller.

The new car features a blacked-out design theme, including the wheels and exterior mirrors, which are different from the previous fuel-powered model. The rear of the vehicle retains the design of the fuel-powered version but adds an e:HEV badge to signify its identity.

The overall interior layout remains unchanged, with the only difference being the use of Honda's hybrid model's button-operated gear shift area. It is equipped with a fully digital instrument cluster and a three-spoke multifunction steering wheel. The adaptive cruise control (ACC) with congestion follow function can quickly detect vehicles merging from adjacent lanes and vehicles changing lanes, enabling smooth driving by adjusting the speed accordingly. Other added features include the Blind Spot Information (BSI) monitoring system and a rearview dynamic reminder system.

In terms of powertrain, the new car is equipped with the fourth-generation i-MMD hybrid system, which combines a 2.0L naturally aspirated engine with a maximum power of 143 horsepower (105 kW) and a maximum torque of 182 Nm. The electric motor delivers a maximum power of 184 horsepower (135 kW) and a maximum torque of 315 Nm. The system's combined output is 203 horsepower (149 kW), and it is powered by a three-element lithium-ion battery. Depending on the specific model, the WLTC combined fuel consumption ranges from 5.13L/100km to 5.26L/100km.
