Power-wise, the new car is equipped with a plug-in hybrid system consisting of a 1.5T engine and an electric motor. The engine has a maximum power of 115kW, paired with a dual motor, resulting in a combined system power of 240kW and a total torque of 545N·m. The transmission system uses Chery's self-developed 3-gear DTH gearbox, and it can accelerate from 0-100km/h in 7.2 seconds. With the assistance of the hybrid-specific 3-gear DHT electric hybrid system, the Tiggo 8 PRO EV offers EV, HEV-Normal, and HEV-Sport 3 modes. The Tiggo 8 PRO EV also has an external discharge function, serving as a 3.3kW high-power mobile power station.

It has an all-electric range of 80km (WLTC) and uses a ternary lithium battery from Guoxuan High-tech. The electricity consumption per 100 km is as low as 5.9L (WLTC), with a combined fuel consumption of 1.70L/100km, and a combined range exceeding 1000km. The Tiggo 8 PRO EV also supports 29kW DC fast charging, charging from 30% to 80% in just 25 minutes, making both acceleration and charging faster than most.
