Why does the newly sprayed pearl white paint look brighter than before?

The reason the newly sprayed pearl white paint appears brighter is that achieving a consistent color match with pearl white is challenging. If you try to match the pearl white's color to the car's original paint perfectly, the newly sprayed area might yellow over time.

If the pearl white paint is adjusted to be slightly brighter than the original before spraying, it may match the original paint more closely after some time, but a slight color difference will still exist.

How many days does it take for the newly sprayed paint to show no color difference?

It depends on various factors. As mentioned above, if you've sprayed pearl white and there's no color difference initially, a difference might appear after some time. Whether or not there's a color difference depends on the quality of the paint used, the accuracy of the painting process, and other factors. If you're unsatisfied with the paint job or if the color difference is too pronounced, you can ask the 4S shop for a rework and respray.

What to do if there's a color difference in pearl white?

If the color difference is minor and is due to the yellowing of the car paint's oxidation layer, the cause might be the poor quality of the clear coat. In such cases, you can go to a 4S shop and have the staff sand it to a matte finish, then use a polishing machine to restore its whiteness, reducing the color difference.

However, if the color difference arose because the primer was not dry before applying the top coat, polishing will not solve the problem. A respray is the only solution. This is because the area that has been repainted will have its clear coat layer yellowing. Even if the outermost paint layer is polished, the underlying layers will still exhibit yellowing and color difference.
