A unidirectional tire, also known as a directional tire, is a type of tire designed to rotate in only one direction to optimize performance. These tires have a V-shaped tread pattern that enhances water dispersion, improves traction, and reduces the risk of hydroplaning, making them ideal for wet or high-speed driving conditions.

Unidirectional tires must be mounted correctly according to the rotation arrow indicated on the sidewall. If installed incorrectly, they may not perform effectively and could wear unevenly. When rotating these tires, they should only be moved from front to back on the same side of the vehicle to maintain their intended performance.
