Vehicle Classification

1:What is it?

123
Classification refers to categorizing vehicles according to certain standards to facilitate identification.

2:Did you know?
Due to the lack of a unified global classification standard for vehicles, the criteria for vehicle classification vary among major automobile-producing countries. In the case of sedans, which we commonly encounter, the United States classifies them based on wheelbase, Japan classifies them based on passenger volume, and Germany classifies them based on vehicle platform, dividing them into classes A, B, C, and D. In China, the national standard GB/T 3730.1-1988 specifies the classification of sedans based on passenger volume.

3:How are they classified?
They are classified as follows: microcar (A00 class), small car (A0 class), compact car (A class), mid-size car (B class), large car (C class), luxury car (D class), multi-purpose vehicle (MPV), sports utility vehicle (SUV), sports car, and commercial vehicle.
