Symptoms of Using Poor-Quality Gasoline in a Car, Should Inferior Gasoline be Run Completely Before Changing?

Using poor-quality gasoline in a car typically leads to a decrease in power output and noticeable vibrations and abnormal sounds during idle. Additionally, low-quality gasoline often lacks good resistance to detonation, causing engine knocking. Prolonged use may result in carbon buildup in the engine and, in severe cases, damage to the catalytic converter.

When you suspect that your vehicle has been filled with subpar gasoline, you might wonder about remedies, such as running the remaining low-quality gasoline before changing it. This is acceptable; however, it's crucial to completely remove the inferior gasoline from the fuel tank before refueling, which involves performing a fuel system cleaning.

Even if inferior gasoline hasn't been added, car owners should regularly conduct fuel system cleaning every 30,000 to 40,000 kilometers, adjusting the frequency based on individual driving conditions, usage patterns, and local fuel quality.

Methods for cleaning the fuel system include:

1:Directly adding fuel system cleaner to the fuel tank, which is the simplest method.

2:Suspending a bottle-shaped tool above the engine and pouring the cleaning agent into it. The cleaner is then directed into the engine through a hose, effectively cleaning carbon deposits. This method is commonly referred to as "bottle hanging."

3:Using a specialized non-disassembly cleaning machine that connects to the engine's fuel inlet and return lines. This method forms a closed loop to clean the fuel system.

4:Completely disassembling the entire fuel system for thorough cleaning. This method is suitable for severely blocked systems but is the most time-consuming and expensive option.
