Solutions for Throttle Not Returning to Position on Motorcycles

When riding a motorcycle, encountering a throttle that doesn't return to its original position can be perplexing. The issue may stem from a lack of necessary lubrication in the throttle cable or excessive bending of the accelerator cable, which increases resistance and prevents the throttle from naturally returning.

Additionally, a stuck throttle grip or throttle valve can also impact the throttle's rebound. To address this, consider adding a spring with a rebound function at the connection between the carburetor and throttle valve to help the throttle return more smoothly. Regularly check the routing of the throttle cable to avoid excessive bends that could cause resistance.

Lastly, if the throttle cable gets wet and freezes, exposing the motorcycle to sunlight can help melt the frozen parts as the temperature rises. Especially during cold winter months, it's important to be mindful of this issue to prevent problems caused by ice forming on the throttle cable.
