4：When the vehicle passes over speed bumps, the owner may hear a "thud" noise from the engine.
The cost of replacing engine mount rubber is not expensive, and there is no specific set replacement interval for it. In general, it can last for more than 5 years with normal use. If engine mount rubber requires frequent replacement, it may be due to aggressive driving behavior, such as not slowing down when encountering speed bumps or rough road sections. Alternatively, it could be a quality issue with the engine mount rubber itself.
Here's how to determine if the engine mount is damaged through regular maintenance checks:
1：Open the hood and inspect the condition of the engine mount pads at the connection points of the engine, gearbox, and vehicle body. Note that to inspect the condition of the engine mount at the underside of the car, you will need to lift the car with a jack.
2：After ruling out abnormal engine operation caused by components like fuel, spark plugs, and ignition coils, you can use a pry bar to lever against the engine mount rubber. If you don't feel any vehicle body vibrations at this point, it indicates that the engine mount rubber has lost its shock-absorbing effectiveness.
