Identifying Issues with Car Bottom Leakage

Discovering a significant water leak beneath the chassis when the car is parked can be a cause for concern among car owners, as it might be perceived as abnormal. So, what could be the issues causing the car bottom to leak water?

Generally, there are various reasons for chassis water leakage. If the vehicle has traversed flooded road surfaces, it's normal to observe chassis water leakage when parked afterward. Additionally, using the air conditioning during driving, especially in high-temperature conditions, can lead to water leakage from the car's chassis-this is also considered a normal occurrence.

Moreover, after the combustion of the air-fuel mixture in the combustion chamber, a substantial amount of water vapor is produced, which condenses into water droplets when exposed to colder surfaces, causing water to drip from the chassis. Of course, chassis water leakage can also be a result of issues with the vehicle. It could indicate a situation where the radiator is damaged and leaking. In such cases, a water level warning light on the dashboard might illuminate, requiring prompt repair of the radiator. To avoid misinterpretation, car owners should pay extra attention to whether the liquid beneath the car is water or oil.

If the accumulated liquid under the chassis is actually oil rather than water, immediate inspection of the vehicle's components is necessary to prevent serious consequences for the vehicle.
