In everyday use, many car owners rely on their sunroof to enhance airflow, create a sense of space, and reduce the feeling of confinement inside the vehicle. However, some owners may experience issues with their sunroof, such as it not closing properly and automatically bouncing back.

How to Force Close a Broken Sunroof
Car owners can try opening the small cover next to the sunroof switch, where they might find basic tools that can help close the sunroof in an emergency situation. Alternatively, it's worth checking if there's any debris in the sunroof's sliding tracks. If there's an obstruction causing the sunroof to malfunction, simply remove the debris to resolve the issue.
Another possible cause for a sunroof failing to close properly is a lack of lubrication in the guide rails. If the friction is too high, the automatic anti-pinch system may activate, causing the sunroof to bounce back. In this case, applying lubrication to the guide rails can fix the problem.
Owners can also try initializing the sunroof's open and close functions. While the car is powered on, press and hold the sunroof open button until the sunroof fully opens. Then, close it and reopen it again to complete the initialization process.
If none of the above methods work, the car owner should take the vehicle to a 4S dealership for a detailed inspection to determine the cause of the malfunction. After repairs, owners should avoid using the sunroof too frequently and ensure the guide rails remain clean and lubricated during daily use.
