Effects of Turning Off Traction Control System (TCS)

In modern vehicles, the Traction Control System (TCS) is a crucial safety feature. This technology prevents the drive wheels from spinning on slippery surfaces, ensuring smooth starts and accelerations. However, many people are confused about when to turn off TCS. The following will discuss the potential impacts of turning off TCS.

Firstly, turning off TCS will weaken the stability of the vehicle in adverse weather conditions or complex road situations. When driving on snowy, muddy, or other slippery surfaces, TCS effectively prevents wheel spin and skidding.

Turning off TCS means losing this crucial control mechanism, making the vehicle susceptible to traction loss due to wheel spin, leading to potential dangers such as fishtailing, rollovers, or loss of control.

Secondly, turning off TCS also affects the dynamic balance and handling performance of the vehicle. TCS maintains vehicle balance by monitoring wheel speeds and adjusting driving force.
