Dealing with Excessive Vehicle Noise

Engine noise is a common issue, originating from vibrations in the engine compartment and front fenders. To reduce this noise, consider adding sound-absorbing foam material at the engine compartment hood to effectively absorb and suppress vibrations inside the engine compartment.

Tire noise is also a contributor to interior noise.

This noise comes from the friction between the tire surface and the ground, transmitted to the interior through mudguards and body fenders. To reduce this noise, add damping panels at the doors, mudguards, and body fenders, along with sound-absorbing pads, to weaken the impact of noise from multiple angles.

Additionally, wind noise is a common problem, mainly arising from the air friction against the vehicle body during driving. In such cases, install soundproofing materials at the door gaps, adhering to the inner lining board, to act as a sound barrier.

When vehicle owners notice unusually high interior noise, prompt action is needed. If the noise is from the tires, consider installing damping panels or sound-absorbing cotton at the tire positions to effectively reduce friction noise. If the noise originates from the engine, add soundproofing cotton inside the engine compartment to effectively lower the noisy engine operation.

Furthermore, if wind noise is heard, check the condition of door seals and replace them with new seals to solve the problem effectively. If these methods are ineffective, it may be an issue with the exhaust system, requiring timely inspection and repair at an automotive repair shop.
