With the rising demand in the SUV market and an increasing number of consumers opting for SUV models, the issue of visual blind spots in SUVs is gaining more attention. Many manufacturers are turning to technological solutions to address this issue. For instance, Land Rover's all-terrain perspective technology, known as the "Transparent Hood," can render the hood completely "invisible." This works by projecting real-time imaging from the front and underside of the vehicle onto the central touchscreen, clearly presenting a broad 180° virtual view.
Beyond Land Rover's "Transparent Hood," other manufacturers have introduced full-chassis perspective features. An example is BYD's holographic transparent imaging technology, which can display complete imaging around the vehicle and its underside on the central control screen, achieving full-chassis transparency. This is particularly useful when navigating complex terrains. Nowadays, an increasing number of manufacturers are launching models equipped with this technology. It's not limited to just SUVs; vehicles of other segments are also progressively being fitted with the chassis perspective imaging system, incorporating either partial or full transparency functions.
