1: Introduction
BRABUS, founded by Mr. Bodo Buschmann in 1977, has grown to become one of the largest car modification companies in the world. It is currently the designated tuning brand for Mercedes, with over 80,000 Mercedes cars modified annually. All smart car variants in the world are designed by BRABUS. The modifications BRABUS undertakes go beyond simple high-performance upgrades; they are lavish and meticulously crafted.
2: Company Scale
BRABUS's headquarters is located in Bottrop, in the heart of the Ruhr district, close to the A2 motorway. Apart from a spacious showroom, this internationally active company also houses its development and production departments here.
In the summer of 1999, BRABUS expanded its workshop and administrative building located at Brabus-Allee to cover a total of 112,000 square meters. At present, at least 85 employees work in the modern car modification and service departments at the BRABUS manufacturing plant.
Its warehouse, with a capacity of 105,000 cubic meters, utilizes advanced electronic data processing equipment for management, ensuring rapid worldwide part supply.
The company has its own car testing tracks, including acceleration and braking lanes, sine tracks, circular tracks, and a vibration lane paved with Belgian blocks. This allows for comprehensive driving tests. Today, BRABUS employs over 350 staff.
3: Products
BRABUS's best car is the S68 BRABUS, priced at 4.68 million RMB. As the largest Mercedes-Benz upgrade manufacturer globally, the German BRABUS company introduced the BRABUS Mercedes S68 at the 2006 Panama Motor Show. Upon release, this model demonstrated its irreplaceable status in the world of luxury vehicles with its outstanding performance, achieving 0-100 km/h in less than 4.0 seconds, 0-200 km/h in 10.5 seconds, with an electronically limited top speed of 350 km/h.
Powering the BRABUS Mercedes S68 is the BRABUS S V12 S Biturbo twin-turbocharged engine. Every BRABUS engine is meticulously assembled by hand by specialist engineers at the BRABUS factory in the Ruhr district of Germany, with the badge on the engine also carrying the signature of the responsible engineer. This engine is Germany's most powerful TUV-tested engine, producing 730 hp or 537KW at 5,100 rpm. Furthermore, its peak torque is an impressive 1,320 Nm at 2,100 rpm, electronically limited to 1,100 Nm.
The power is transmitted to the rear wheels through a specially modified five-speed automatic transmission and a BRABUS locking differential. For always optimal and safe driving experience, the BRABUS Mercedes S68 is equipped with the world's most advanced AIRMATIC with an adaptive damping system and a full-range automatic level adjustment air suspension system. Considering the model's performance characteristics and China's actual road conditions, BRABUS Mercedes China specially customized four lightweight BRABUS Monoblock aluminum wheels for the Chinese market, with 18 titanium alloy lightweight steel nails installed on each wheel, and equipped with F1 car-specific TUV, VERSION II standard 20-inch Pirelli high-speed tires, with tire sizes being 255/35 ZR 20 for the front and 285/30 ZR 20 for the rear.
4: Difference from AMG
AMG is now wholly owned by Mercedes, and all AMG modified cars are mass-produced. On the other hand, BRABUS is a Mercedes-approved specialist Mercedes tuner. BRABUS has set many records in factory car modifications. Mercedes is just one of its products, and all Daimler-Chrysler products can be upgraded by BRABUS at the top level.
