Since the introduction of the first-generation Golf in 1974, ABT's engineers and designers have been involved in the development of every generation of the Golf, contributing to over 1,000 development ideas. However, the launch of the new Golf marked a significant shift in the relationship between the car manufacturer and the tuning company. One of ABT's modifications is the VS4, which enhances the original four-cylinder TDI engine of the New Golf. The displacement has been increased by 200cc, resulting in a maximum horsepower of 170, a 30 horsepower increase compared to the original 140 horsepower. With ABT's extensive engine technology, the upgrade only requires a chip replacement, making it cost-effective. The upgraded Golf VS4 not only delivers powerful performance but also provides stronger torque and more agile responsiveness.
In addition to the Golf's already sporty design, ABT adds a carbon fiber aerodynamic kit to the Golf VS4.
