HongQi HS5

The new HongQi HS5 is positioned as a mid-size SUV, with comprehensive enhancements made to both its exterior and interior. Additionally, significant improvements have been made to its powertrain. In terms of dimensions, the new vehicle measures 4785/1905/1700mm in length, width, and height, with a wheelbase of 2870mm.

On the exterior, the front face of the new HongQi HS5 has been optimized, featuring a design that closely resembles the HongQi H9. The size of the waterfall-style grille has been increased, creating a three-dimensional effect, with the iconic HongQi LED logo in the center. The new headlights exhibit a more profound look, including a 7-inch daytime running light on the upper section. The vehicle also adopts split-type headlights, with a more dramatic styling for the side lamp units.

The upgraded exterior design of the new HongQi HS5 is remarkably significant, incorporating the highly recognizable straight waterfall-style front grille and "flying wing" headlights, which solidify the stable family styling DNA of the HongQi brand.

The overall craftsmanship and material selection of the entire vehicle are superior, resulting in a more exquisite and upscale appearance. The design is not only more aesthetically pleasing but also ergonomically aligned with human-machine interaction. The availability of multiple color schemes, decorative patterns, and materials for trim panels further enhances the level of sophistication exhibited by the new HongQi HS5.

The side profile of the vehicle showcases optimized design details. Changes can be seen in the decorative style of the fenders, featuring the HongQi emblem, as well as the improved chrome accents on the lower part of the doors. The vehicle also introduces new and larger-sized alloy wheels.

At the rear, the taillights have been redesigned, featuring a chrome strip that extends across both left and right units, presenting a more stylish appearance. The rear bumper has also undergone improvements, with larger dual exhaust outlets and additional chrome embellishments.

In terms of the interior, the entire center console has been redesigned, featuring sleeker lines and larger decorative panel areas. The light-colored wood trim exudes a heightened sense of elegance. The dual-screen design has been retained, while the air conditioning controls have been transformed into buttons and knobs. The lower section now includes a wireless charging area, and the surrounding area of the gear lever has also been reoptimized. The seat design remains largely unchanged, following the design of the current model.

Regarding powertrain, the new HongQi HS5 continues to be equipped with a 2.0T turbocharged engine. However, the power performance has been enhanced, with a maximum power output of 185kW, an increase of 20kW compared to the current model, and a maximum torque of 380Nm, an increase of 40Nm. It is also upgraded to an 8-speed automatic transmission.
